How it works

To make a booking contact us at Furever Photos  on the form provided or give us a call. Once we receive your request, we will contact you to have a chat about your pet and find out more about what you would like to achieve in your photoshoot. We will discuss your pets preferences to determine the best photoshoot location to suit your pets personality. Each pet is different, so we tailor our location choices to ensure your pet is comfortable in their surroundings. During our conversation we discuss our package options with you and answer any questions you may have.

Once we have determined the right location for your pet, we discuss the booking date and session time. Some locations are better suited to morning photoshoots, others are best in the afternoon depending on the light direction. When we have found a date and time to suit you and your pet, we reserve the booking and Furever Photos will email you the documentation you need to complete and return along with a 25% deposit to secure your booking. We will also email you a comprehensive artwork price list for your perusal.

Furever Photos keeps a close eye on the weather outlook and will contact you two days prior to your photo session to discuss any expected weather issues. In the event of unfavourable weather, Furever Photos will reschedule your booking in consultation with you to another date.

It is recommended that you finalise any grooming for your pet a day or two prior to your photoshoot. For dogs we recommend giving them a bath and a brush. If you have a double coated dog, ensure you bath them ahead of time so that any additional fur shedding has been completed prior your session.

Furever Photos requires all bookings to be paid in full at least 2 days prior to the photo session.

Your Furever Photoshoot

At Furever Photos we believe your photoshoot should be fun and relaxed to capture natural expressions from your pet. Your photo session lasts approximately two hours. The first half an hour is spent getting to know and understand your pet before the camera even comes out. It’s important that your pet gets to know me and feel comfortable with me and gives us time to have a chat face to face to get to know each other. Just like your pet, you also need to feel comfortable with me. If your are relaxed and happy, your pet will be relaxed and happy.

I like to have a game with your pet, provide some tasty treats and determine how they will respond to me. Always having their favourite treats with me ensures the experience is positive for them. Once your pet is calm and happy, I introduce my photographic equipment to them, pressing  buttons to make sure your pet hears all the noises of the camera. They can have a sniff and explore so there are no surprises for them when it comes time to start taking photos. Once your pet is comfortable with me and the equipment its time to start.

What happens next...

Within two weeks of your photoshoot, you will be able to view your images online through our secure client portal. When the images are ready for viewing I will send you an email with your individual login instructions. Once you have had time to view your images, I will arrange a video conference with you to discuss your images and arrange any artwork orders. If you have purchased a package which includes artwork credits, this is where we apply them and you can also make additional artwork purchases if you choose. The video call also provides you with an opportunity to ask any questions or advice regarding artwork sizes to suit your home.  A selection of your images will also be posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

After receiving your artwork order, I prepare the files for printing. Once printed, your artwork is returned to me for quality checking before I send it on to you. You can expect your completed artworks to arrive around four weeks after ordering, subject to postal delays. I will keep you informed of the progress of your artwork through each step of the process.

At Furever Photos we support Australian products. All our artwork is sourced from Australian businesses, and printed in Australia.

What if my pet can't be off lead?

The most important aspect of your photoshoot is ensuring your pets safety. If your pet is not able to be off lead, that is not a problem at all. At Furever Photos we can edit your images to remove leads from your photos, we just ask that you use a flat collar and lead rather than a harness for the duration of the photoshoot.
