Chihuahua Tini

Tini Sunset

Meet Tini! Tini is 3/4 Chihuahua, 1/4 Min Pin, and she is 100% adorable! Tini joined Furever Photos for an evening parklands photo shoot. It was a little chilly for Tini, but she soon warmed up with a play and a run round during the photoshoot.

Tini is a lady of mature years, having turned 11 years old this year, a much beloved pup.  Tini has a few quirky expressions and her owners wanted to capture them in her images. One in particular is her curled left lip, a unique feature of hers. We managed to capture this expression multiple times during her photoshoot, much to the delight of her parents.

When Tini is really relaxed, her little tongue protrudes out from her curled lip, another unique feature Furever Photos captured during her photoshoot.

Tini the Chihuahua may be an older dog, but she is still alert and playful, when she gets excited she dances. Tini loves to snuggle and given her small size and short coat, she loves to find the warmest places to snooze. She is happiest when being carried around, preferably in a jumper for warmth.

A bit about Chihuahuas

Chihuahuas are one of the smallest dog breeds but have an abundance of personality. They love to be with their people, and need a lot of interaction. They are very intelligent dogs and fast learners, so it is important to provide them with mental stimulation and training to ensure you have a happy healthy dog. As with any dog they respond well to obedience training and can compete in agility!

Due to their size and short coat, they can prone to the cold so it is important to ensure they have a nice warm coat for the cooler months. They enjoy a snuggle with their people, and are very affectionate companions. Chihuahuas have a very long lifespan, and can live up to 18 years.

Chihuahuas as with all dogs require socialisation with people, other animals and children to ensure they are calm and confident dogs.

A bit about Min Pins

Min Pins, or Miniature Pinschers originated in Germany and were bread to hunt vermin- their instinct is to chase. They are fearless and energetic dogs and enjoy spending time with their people. They have high energy and need a lot of stimulation and exercise.

Min Pins are very intelligent dogs and require training to ensure you have a confident and assured dog. They can be very determined, and it is important that you establish leadership in the household, otherwise a Min Pin can take over!

Min Pins are very curious dogs so it is recommended that you ‘baby proof’ your home to avoid them getting into any mischief- including ensuring there are no small objects lying around which they may try to eat. Due to their small size and short coat, they feel the cold and need to have a coat on for the winter time.
